| Teachers’ Retirement Home |
| Construction started last April on the Teacher’s Retirement Home for the Teachers’ Social Solidarity Association, located in Cascais.
The project, whose author is architect Eduardo Souto de Moura, amounts to 3 million Euros.
The building consists of 3 ground floor plus first floor blocks, which take on different functional characteristics.
Even though the presented construction type and structural solution (reinforced concrete portico) are commonly used, the projects’ particularities regarding this type of equipment and the usual demands of the technical team are worth pointing out.
This work strengthens the presence of SÁ MACHADO & FILHOS, S.A. in the Lisbon area; there it has gradually and consistently obtained consolidated position.
